Our Little Monster

So a couple weeks ago I came back from the bathroom and I couldn't find Landon. I heard a little giggle and this is what I saw.
And then this...
Here are pictures of his little toofers
This next one is my favorite!

Everything is going well. We just got family pictures taken on Saturday, so keep an eye out for them in a couple weeks.

Mission: Organization

As all of you know, apartments are a necessary part in life. The unfortunate part about them is they are often too small and offer limited storage. Especially when you add a little rugrat to the mix. Tony and I have moved several times and with those moves came the hand-me-downs/dumpster finds (don't worry they were all on the side... nothing is good enough to get into one of those.), fat/skinny wardrobes, and paper clutter. We didn't really do anything with them because before now we had room to put them else where. Now Landon is getting into things and we are having to move a few things around. Not to mention we are just tired of our place being cluttered. So our project(and by our I mean mine because I'm home more) is to get rid of all of the unnecessary junk before our next move. (Hopefully into our own house!)

Severely Sleep Deprived

I have discovered that I am not one of those kinds of people who can survive without sleep very well. These last few weeks have been really hard on me for whatever reason. I know I have been taking it out on Tony and that wasn't fair so I got another self help book online. Its called the sleep sense program. I am very excited about it. Although, all the information that is talked about has already been said by my friends, sometimes in order for Tony to grasp on to the idea it has to come from a completely different source. We haven't completely started it, but I can tell we are going to have a hard time because no one likes to hear their child cry (especially at night) but we just need to push through it so that Landon can teach himself how to go to sleep on his own. Aside from that, It has been a little while since I have gotten my hair cut, but I thought I would post a picture of it and add some more pictures of Landon. There really hasn't been much going on.

5 Months, Making Progress, and Hashimoto's Thyroiditis

Landon is 5 months old! Its hard to believe. He is growing up so fast! As many of you saw in our last post we have been working to get Landon towards rice cereal. I took a week off to give myself and him a break of the cereal. It seemed to pay off. He would spit most of it out, so I tried a medicine dropper to get it in his mouth and I actually emptied a small portion of cereal with him. He wasn't consistent about it so then I tried baby oatmeal instead. He really digs this stuff. He has gotten the concept of the spoon and is eating a pretty good amount these days. He has a cold, but is actually generally pretty pleasant considering things. On top of that Tony has gotten back into Crossfit. I'm super stoked for him because I think it will be good for our family to be in good shape. He is pretty motivated by his hunt in September. I'm all for whatever helps him to be healthier. On a different note, I think Landon has started to teethe. He gets cranky and super drooley at times. Both of which aren't much fun for me, but it is exciting that he is growing and developing. I will, however, be sad when I can't see that toothless grin anymore.

The last few days I have noticed that my throat has been swollen. I went into an urgent care and they told me that I had a possible thyroid condition that I needed to get some blood work done on. Long story short, 2 separate blood tests and an ultrasound later, I found out today that I have Hashimoto's Thyroiditis. Basically whats going on is my body isn't making enough hormones. Causing a lower metabolism (the one thing EVERYONE loves to hear...note sarcasm) and possible depression. I'm a little bummed because I really like to work out and eat healthy, but it's always a drag to make something that you wanted to do to something you now have to do. Everything is fine, I just have to take medication and really focus on keeping my diet and exercise on track. My doctor said it might resolve itself, but only time can tell. Anyway, that's pretty much all that has been going on with us. Here are a few pictures of our little cutie that we have taken.

His 5 month picture with Roxy. He is starting to become interested in her so She naturally wants nothing to do with him anymore. This was the best one that we got of them right next to eachother.

How he sleeps. I love it.

Yep, even in the car seat. This kid cracks me up.

Don't you just love his little toes?

Taken right after the previous one as the flash went off.

Rice, anyone?

So our first attempt with Rice cereal with Landon wasn't anywhere near a success. I would have posted our video of it, but I figured if giving our craptastic computer 7+ hours to load didn't work its pretty much not going to. Sorry. There obviously is a learning curve for these types of things. Any suggestions on how help him along? I know these things can't be rushed, and that doesn't bother me, but I want to be moving towards solids so I can actually do something with Tony without worrying about whether or not I timed it just right to nurse him when I get back. Anyway, so this post isn't too boring I will add some cute pictures instead.

Goodbye Little Truck

Since Tony and I had Landon we couldn't really use the little red truck. We sold it last week and it was very hard for Tony to let go. It was his first car and it went through a moose hunt (we had our first date scouting for moose in it), trips back and forth from Cali to Idaho, Moves to Arizona and Utah, and finally here where it got stolen and found again. I know this is a silly thing to post about, but we loved that little red truck.
