Seriously?!

So for all of those who have had kids before, I'm sure you know exactly what I'm talking about. Tuesday morning I went in for my weekly OB appointment and they did the exam. I was expecting the violation, but I wasn't expecting it to hurt as much as it did. The Doctor told me I could expect spotting, which I did, but I seriously felt like it was that time of the month again. (a feeling I haven't gotten in several months obviously) I started to feel better by the time I went and worked out that evening and felt fine until Tony and I went to bed around midnight. I was laying in bed and I started to get real contractions. I got a little nervous because these were the first ones I had felt that were pretty consistent. I called the hospital a couple times. They told me to track them and they were close enough that they wanted me to come in. I went in, they hooked me up to the monitors and Tony and I were all pumped because we were thinking this was it. Finally, right? NOPE! We were there for 3 hours and we ended up going home empty handed and very exhausted. I haven't really felt any contractions since and learned that just because you are dilated to about a 3 doesn't mean that baby is coming out. You have to be 100% effaced as well. Which I'm only about 30%. (sorry if that was more than you wanted to know.) Anyway, I just thought I would give the update. I'm still feeling great, but I am getting anxious. Two more weeks!! (Hopefully! cross your fingers!)

Going Stir Crazy

So as many of you guys have noticed I only have 3 short weeks to go..... well in reality 3 weeks isn't really a long time, but in the world of a pregnant woman 3 weeks seems like Forever! I will say, I haven't had it bad at all and I really don't have any real complaints other than the fact I just can't move the way I want, and it is increasingly difficult to sleep at night. I know I should cherish this time of the last couple weeks of movements, but I am more anxious to get him out and hold him than anything. Not to mention it will be nice to be able to put my shoes on, shave my legs, work out legitimately, and do other various daily tasks without assistance or inconvenience from a large belly getting in the way. Thanks to everyone who has supported and uplifted me during my pregnancy. I will keep you all posted on when the day arrives.

On a different note, I got my quilt back from the quilting place and I am almost finished! I have almost completed the first side of my binding and will be starting the second (and much more time consuming side) soon. I will post pictures of the finished product as soon as it is finished.

Belly Shots :)

I am so excited that the time is ticking down. I just got these pictures back today from my friend. I think she did a good job. Enjoy :)
