My quilt is finished!

So it has been done for a while, but I just wanted to post pictures of the final product. You can't see, but the back is done with Dot Minky. I think it turned out really nice for a first attempt. I don't really have much to add, but just in case you didn't see the previous post check it out. There are pictures of Landon and myself.

Update Smorgasbord!!

So in light of getting the internet back I thought I would take the liberty (Since Landon is asleep and I'm not about to pass out with exhaustion) to give you guys a little update on how life has been since we brought our little guy home.

Tony and I had the pleasure of having my mom come and help us out with the baby. Its a good thing she did because everyone always talks about how difficult and scary labor is, but they never tell you about what really happens after the baby comes. It was definitely a lifestyle shock! I thought I was prepared for sleep deprivation during pregnancy, but oh, was I wrong. Its just a different type of exhaustion. On top of that, I ended up tearing last minute in the delivery so I have been recovering from that and am glad to say that I am doing much better. Also, I have already passed my pre-pregnancy weight. Sorry if this information is a little upsetting, but it just goes to show that a bit of hard work goes a long way. I have my friends Renee and Scott to thank for that. I honestly couldn't have done it without them. I felt bad for my mom because we really didn't do much while she was here. So, I'm glad that she and my dad are coming back out next month for the blessing.Me just a couple weeks after having Landon. I'm happy with where I'm at, but I'm itching to get back into the gym.

Landon with his Noni

Life sure has been an adjustment, but we have really enjoyed having Landon with us. I feel bad because Tony has had the worst of the occupational hazards of having a baby. When we were in the hospital he did practically all the diaper changes. I commend him because before that he hadn't changed a single diaper, it was the gross tar like poo, and he changed like 7+ per hour. We have both been soiled on by this little guy, but Tony has been the only one that has been full on vomited on. As I write this it makes me chuckle a little, but in all actuality it really is quite disgusting. I have been spit up on, but nothing like what Tony got. Anyway, aside from that Landon is doing great. He passed his hearing screening today and is packn' on the pounds as any healthy little boy does. He is already outgrowing some of his clothes. Here are some pictures that we have taken of him so far.Ready for take off?? This is him while he was doing his Ear screening test. I think this picture is hilarious.

Taking a nap on his Noni

He wasn't happy that daddy delayed his lunch to take his picture

Waiting to go to Church

Loven' his toys

"Drunk" with satisfaction (aka Boobie drunk)

Lots more to come. We also have other pictures on our facebook. Tony can upload photos from his phone so his might have the most recent ones.

Back in business!

Tony and I finally got internet back. We tried to go a few months without it to save some money, but we in turn ended up spending the same amount if not more because I wasn't able to keep track of things on a daily basis. On top of that, I would get a little stir crazy because I didn't have anything to occupy my time. So... expect lots of updates on our little family :) We are so excited to have Landon with us. He is a cutie!

Our baby story

On Tuesday this week I had my final weekly OB appointment. I went in and they did the exams and after a short discussion about my baby's fetal movements after monitoring they decided to send me to the hospital to take some extra precautions. Tony was out working so I called him to let him know to come back and then we got a hold of his mom to meet me there so I would have someone there with me. I was there for a couple of hours when they decided to induce labor. They started with a gel, but they eventually decided that Pitocin was needed to push things along. I was going to try to have the baby without the epidural, but the contractions got too much to handle given the medication I was on. I went in at around 12p but I would say that I actually started labor at around 4 or 5. Time didn't seem to register to me until it I got close to delivery. I was really grateful to have some visitors. Tony's sister and dad, our friends Renee and Scott, and Tom and Laurie came by to congratulate us as well as give their support. TV also helped with the labor. It was a nice distraction to everything that was going on. I feel a little hazy about everything because the only thing I really remember was the people, my left leg going completely numb while my right only going partially numb, and the delivery. We had awesome nurses to help out, especially our delivery nurse. She was very concerned with me and my needs and was an awesome motivator when it came down to delivering. Tony did an excellent job as well. I don't think I could have done it without them. Also, turning off the epidural towards the end of the delivery helped out a lot too. I still had enough medication to where it didn't hurt, but I could feel where to focus my energy rather than pushing more mentally. Landon Robert Rudd Liston was finally born on September 2nd, at 1:36a. He was 8 lbs 3.6 oz, 21.2 inches and just came out looking so beautiful. I will have more pictures of him later. I just need to get them transferred from my camera, but here are a couple to start.

Right after I delivered . Poor thing had no idea what was going on.

In the recovery room. Much more content. Isn't he such a cutie??
