Tell us how you really feel.....

So the other night we went to Handel's Messiah as put on by the Turlock Stake Choir. Everyone did a good job in the performance, but apparently there was a man in the audience (I'm going to take a shot in the dark and say that he was older) who apparently wanted to be apart of the program. You know those times when you are saying something to a friend and the most awkward part of your conversation is said ironically when dead silence occurs and everyone looks at you? Well this was no exception. During the Hallelujah Chorus there is a nice pause toward the end and this guy said in frustration "I can't take it anymore!". I don't think that he was expecting a solo, but that's what you get for not holding your tongue. I turned to Tony and looked at him and we just bust up laughing it was sooooo funny! So word to the wise.... watch what you say or you might get caught saying that might get you in "trouble".

Tag, I'm It!!

Oh no! I have been tagged in the clear of day! Here are the rules:

1) Link to the person that tagged you and post the rules on your blog.

2) Share 7 random and/or weird facts about yourself.

3) Tag 7 people at the end of your post and include links to their blogs.

4) Let each person know that they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

I was tagged by Aubrey

1) I love rice krispy treats. They are my weakness out of all of the sweet things you could possibly eat. You may not understand this because of course there are many other better and more tastey things to choose, but once I start eating them it is like a monster takes over until the whole pan is slicked clean (or my husband reminds me what it will do to my waist) :/

2) I really enjoy marching band. (yes I was apart of the nerd herd... even worse I was in color guard so there is a whole class of names for my section, but I still loved it!) I wish sometimes I could go back to Highschool, but only for that. I think that my school should do an alumni show with all of the people that I marched with over the years. It would be hecka fun!

3) I recently got into watching reality shows such as the Bachelor, Survivor, Kid nation and Beauty and the Geek. I think they are great! I still am not an American Idol fan. Maybe it's because of the year what's his butt from Alabama (Booo!!) won.

4) I have really gotten into nutrition due to Dr. Oz. If you don't know of him watch for him on Oprah (I only watch her when he is on). I read his book and followed his "diet" and both my husband and I lost 10 lbs in a month! I switched my major to do nutrition and am now going to minor in photography ( Lets be honest, I never liked taking the other art classes anyway so I can skip all the sludge and get to the good stuff!)

5) I'm not a neat freak, but when it comes to my closet all of my clothes have to put away a certain way or else it drives me crazy!! I put my clothes (shirts) away by color (ROY G BIV WGBrB) and all my pants, dresses, and sweaters are then put together in the same way. I know, it's a little OCD, but there are far worse than that.

6) I Love music. I really like to listen to it, but i love to play it even more. (I have a fantasy of playing guitar in a band playing music similar to Fall Out Boy and Panic! at the Disco) I have played guitar (not that well but getting better) Alto Sax, Piano, and Keyboard percussion instruments

7) I really like to snowboard. If I could go every day I probably would.... ok not everyday, but certainly every week.

I am tagging Suzy, Hillary, Mandy, Megan, and Kristie(I know that is only 5, but they are the only ones I know who have blogs :/ )

Hair Catastrophe

So The other night I was home a good part of the day and got a little bored. I was on youtube watching Avril Lavigne music videos and the almost brilliant thought came to me that "oh I think I would look cute as a blond!" So Tony got home and of course agreed with me because he has been trying to turn me blond for some time now. We got in the car, purchased a box of hair dye and got to it. After I got the dye all mixed up and in my hair I looked at the color chart and saw "Not recommended for brown or black hair" printed in fine print on the box. I gasped and new that I had made a mistake and hoped for the best. When it was all rinsed out and dried it didn't look too bad, but it wasn't what I was expecting. We went back to the store found my friend Becca and got her advice and got a new box called "born to be Blond" I said sweet this will work for sure. I got home got it in, let it sit for the time period tested a piece and then left it in for about 15 more minutes to try to get the orange color out. I washed it out and my hair was Yellow!!! ahhhh!!! what a nightmare! I looked like a side show freak. I went to bed crying that night and of course the next morning it was church. We were sinners and ditched sacrament meeting and purchased yet another box set. This time I gave up on the blond color opted for brown. We went home and put it in and finally had success. It looks almost exactly the same as it used to but slightly lighter. Yay!!! Anyway that's my story.. sorry there are no pictures of the horrible process, but i'm sure your imagination can fill in the blanks. It might even make it a little better.
