Tell us how you really feel.....

So the other night we went to Handel's Messiah as put on by the Turlock Stake Choir. Everyone did a good job in the performance, but apparently there was a man in the audience (I'm going to take a shot in the dark and say that he was older) who apparently wanted to be apart of the program. You know those times when you are saying something to a friend and the most awkward part of your conversation is said ironically when dead silence occurs and everyone looks at you? Well this was no exception. During the Hallelujah Chorus there is a nice pause toward the end and this guy said in frustration "I can't take it anymore!". I don't think that he was expecting a solo, but that's what you get for not holding your tongue. I turned to Tony and looked at him and we just bust up laughing it was sooooo funny! So word to the wise.... watch what you say or you might get caught saying that might get you in "trouble".

Tag, I'm It!!

Oh no! I have been tagged in the clear of day! Here are the rules:

1) Link to the person that tagged you and post the rules on your blog.

2) Share 7 random and/or weird facts about yourself.

3) Tag 7 people at the end of your post and include links to their blogs.

4) Let each person know that they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

I was tagged by Aubrey

1) I love rice krispy treats. They are my weakness out of all of the sweet things you could possibly eat. You may not understand this because of course there are many other better and more tastey things to choose, but once I start eating them it is like a monster takes over until the whole pan is slicked clean (or my husband reminds me what it will do to my waist) :/

2) I really enjoy marching band. (yes I was apart of the nerd herd... even worse I was in color guard so there is a whole class of names for my section, but I still loved it!) I wish sometimes I could go back to Highschool, but only for that. I think that my school should do an alumni show with all of the people that I marched with over the years. It would be hecka fun!

3) I recently got into watching reality shows such as the Bachelor, Survivor, Kid nation and Beauty and the Geek. I think they are great! I still am not an American Idol fan. Maybe it's because of the year what's his butt from Alabama (Booo!!) won.

4) I have really gotten into nutrition due to Dr. Oz. If you don't know of him watch for him on Oprah (I only watch her when he is on). I read his book and followed his "diet" and both my husband and I lost 10 lbs in a month! I switched my major to do nutrition and am now going to minor in photography ( Lets be honest, I never liked taking the other art classes anyway so I can skip all the sludge and get to the good stuff!)

5) I'm not a neat freak, but when it comes to my closet all of my clothes have to put away a certain way or else it drives me crazy!! I put my clothes (shirts) away by color (ROY G BIV WGBrB) and all my pants, dresses, and sweaters are then put together in the same way. I know, it's a little OCD, but there are far worse than that.

6) I Love music. I really like to listen to it, but i love to play it even more. (I have a fantasy of playing guitar in a band playing music similar to Fall Out Boy and Panic! at the Disco) I have played guitar (not that well but getting better) Alto Sax, Piano, and Keyboard percussion instruments

7) I really like to snowboard. If I could go every day I probably would.... ok not everyday, but certainly every week.

I am tagging Suzy, Hillary, Mandy, Megan, and Kristie(I know that is only 5, but they are the only ones I know who have blogs :/ )

Hair Catastrophe

So The other night I was home a good part of the day and got a little bored. I was on youtube watching Avril Lavigne music videos and the almost brilliant thought came to me that "oh I think I would look cute as a blond!" So Tony got home and of course agreed with me because he has been trying to turn me blond for some time now. We got in the car, purchased a box of hair dye and got to it. After I got the dye all mixed up and in my hair I looked at the color chart and saw "Not recommended for brown or black hair" printed in fine print on the box. I gasped and new that I had made a mistake and hoped for the best. When it was all rinsed out and dried it didn't look too bad, but it wasn't what I was expecting. We went back to the store found my friend Becca and got her advice and got a new box called "born to be Blond" I said sweet this will work for sure. I got home got it in, let it sit for the time period tested a piece and then left it in for about 15 more minutes to try to get the orange color out. I washed it out and my hair was Yellow!!! ahhhh!!! what a nightmare! I looked like a side show freak. I went to bed crying that night and of course the next morning it was church. We were sinners and ditched sacrament meeting and purchased yet another box set. This time I gave up on the blond color opted for brown. We went home and put it in and finally had success. It looks almost exactly the same as it used to but slightly lighter. Yay!!! Anyway that's my story.. sorry there are no pictures of the horrible process, but i'm sure your imagination can fill in the blanks. It might even make it a little better.

Workn' Woman!

This last Tuesday I applied for a hardware store and got an interview. I went into the interview and it went as normal. Half way through the interview the main manager came in and offered me a part time cashiers position!! I had my first background and drug testing today. It was intense. They wouldn't even let me flush the toilet or wash my hands until after I gave them my sample... it was kinda gross, but the good news is that I have a job! We are one step closer to making our way in the world.

4x4 FUN!!!

Here are the pictures of going 4x4. Hope you Enjoy them.

Monterey

It has been about almost a month since we have been to Monterey, but I guess better late than never. On Thursday the 1st we went to Montery to visit with Mom and Dad for our birthdays. We had a lot of fun with them. Dad unfortunately didn't get to spend as much time with us because he had a CRNA conference, but we still enjoyed what time we did have with him. Mom Tony and I walked along the beach for a long time and saw a bunch of casualties on the beach. Tony thought it would be fun to take pictures of some of them, but for your stomach's sake I will not include them. We went around the area to look at the sites. Mom and I went up to the spa one afternoon and got in the hot tub and sunbathed and ate fruit and had lemon water. While walking along one of the piers, Tony teased the sea lions a little and one of them got really angry with him and barked at him pretty loud. As you can see from the picture above he apparently thought he was being funny as well. It about made him soil himself and of course mom and I both laughed. When Dad joined in we would go back to the places that he wanted to see, Watched Bee movie, went out to eat (if you ever go to monterey don't go to Scooners and order a caesar salad because they sneakingly put a sardine on it thinking it is a delicacy, but they are mistakenly wrong... Barf!), did a bit of shopping, and went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium (The Jellies were my favorite as well as the sting rays. Can you guess what kind of fish that enormous blob is? Everyone except mom dad and Tony of course bc they already know. ). We ended our trip in San Francisco on Sunday. We went to the Fisherman's Wharf and had dinner there, did a little sinful shopping ( O_o gasp! I know!), Went across the Bridge and then delightfully enjoyed some delectable cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory. mmmmm cheesecake... They had to leave early the next morning so we let them get to bed a bit early. I missed them already on the way back, but appreated the time spent. For some reason the whole time we were there I didn't seem to be able to get a single picture with all of us. I guess Dad thought that our cameras were way to valuable to be put in the hands of a complete stranger, but I didn't even get one with me and them while tony took the picture... oh well...

Silly Wienie

Normally in the morning I make Tony go take Roxy out to go potty, but today I decided I would give him a break. When I took her out she was tip-toeing on her back legs on the cold grass and wanted to go inside before she totally finished her business. I tossed her back on the grass, she went right away, and the she bolted towards the door. When she got close Tony opened it and she didn't even stop to say good morning. She ran straight back to the bedroom, jumped up on the bed, and burrowed herself in the covers. Normally I am there when she comes in, but apparently she is only using me to get warm. (*shakes fist* Why you little.....) :) Anyway I thought that it was funny. Just to let you know pictures and a posting will come from our trip to monterey are still to come. I will post them as soon as I can locate my USB cord :/

TONY THE MAGNIFICENT

So Tony joined the dark side of the force and learned a new trick. Yes he is amazing. Can you figure it out? Tony couldn't until he spent the money to learn. He will teach you if you want but it will cost you. All of Mandy's kids were so impressed they tried all night at Mimi's and Papa's to figure it out, but a true magician never reveals his secret.... except with his wifey because she rules the show anyway..

And Again....

Well many of you guys know we have moved into Tony's Parents house. So this time it wasn't a big move, but one none the less. Roxy is doing well and getting very big :( the puppy is growing out of her. She gets to go out side and play with Savana as well as us, but sometimes Savana gets in the way and pushes her around. Oh well such is life huh? We are all getting along pretty well. I am working here and there for Wood Design and Tony is selling still. Our lives aren't very exciting right now. I am also doing work outs with some of the ladies in the relief society three days a week. We do all sorts of tapes and do what we can. It is a lot of fun. The ward is a blast and we just love it. That's about all that is going on here for now.

We Moved AGAIN!!!

Well we have moved again. We are finally out of Arizona and in California. I am sure glad to be out of there. Anyway I (Tony) have started with my new company. I am the Sales Manager for Siren Inc. Yes I am still in the alarm industry and will probably be there for a while. I like to protect homes and make money doing it. I was up in Sacramento yesterday picking something up for work and thought that I would go back to the house that I spent the first 5 years of my life. Its been about 8 years sense I was back there. I also saw Edward Kelly and James W. Marshall. That brought back allot of memories. The older I get the more I am a sucker for reminiscing. Here are some pics of the house.

Advertising Home

This is an Advertising home I set up in the Ghetto. Can you believe this guy passed credit with a 730. Wow!!! poop was all over inside. OK just kidding no one lived here but I have set up home just like this. Work is going great. I have worked in a place called the Triangle of death. Go look at a map of Tucson and go where the 10 and 19 meet and go down from there until Valencia rd. That's where I have got allot of my deals. Anyway, Love you all. We will see you guys soon.

The Monsoon!!!

Well, for all of those who have not lived in Arizona for a while, or who have never been here, you don't really know how crappy the weather really is. On July 4Th the temperature reached 114 degrees in the shade. Hot mamma!!! A week later mother nature decided to change things up and rain on us for 2 weeks straight. We have thunder clouds that roll in each day at around 3 or 4 and rain the rest of the day/night. Lets just say that knocking in this weather is less than desirable. I have seen some really cool lightning shows and some powerful flash floods. Traci and I have truly seen almost the whole United States and lets just say the south is the last place I would live, with Arizona and New Mexico being a close second. If any of you guys move here I won't come and visit. I have had a fill for my life time (jk I would still visit but it wouldn't be pleasant).

Heck of a salesman!

Can we just say that Tony is a heck of a salesman. This last week has been kinda rough. He went the whole week without a sale (for many reasons: Monsoon season is upon us, babysitting other sales reps, etc...) but Today he proved himself well and got 4 sales! Not only is that a Saturday record by a long shot, but also a career record as well. Wahoo!!! Watch out Cali! We're coming to secure your homes!

Dixie Caverns,Virginia

This was a pretty cool place. When we were with APX traveling around we thought that since we weren't doing much of anything we would go out and see something that the town had to offer. Dixie Cave had a brochure that made this little pond look like a huge lake. As you can see it is anything but that, but none the less it was pretty cool. It was pretty cold inside and slippery so that meant horseplay was out of the question, but I would hold that to be the best because we had some pretty wild guys in our group.

Roxy

I guess you can say this is my first step into motherhood. I am doing almost everything people do for babies. I feed her, bathe her and make sure she has a clean pad to go potty on (ok so that is where it strays, but hey it still stinks and I would have to say my gag reflex is getting better). It has been a roller coaster ride filled with some ups and downs. I consider her Tony's dog, but he would probably beg to differ. I do most of the disciplinary actions being it is that I'm home most of the day. I'm learning better ways to teach her without going overboard, but there have been some things that have really sent me over the edge. All and all she is a pretty good dog. Always full of surprises thats for sure. I'm sure once you meet her you will find her personality to be quite playful and loving. She is a sucker for people. She loves to meet new people. (watch your feet though she still tends to tinkle if she meets you outside)

On The Go

As all of you know we have been holding our breath since we have gotten married (as far as traveling goes). The experience has been bitter-sweet. On one hand seeing the United States has been cool because we have seen parts of the country most people only read about, but on the other all of the traveling has been a major headache simply because of the lack of a place to really call home. Overall the experience has been great because it has been a true test of our love for one another. If we haven't killed each other yet we probably won't be experiencing any bedroom lock-outs in our life time. I think it is pretty safe to say that we have learned more about each other in the last year than we have since we have known each other, but I know that we still have a long road ahead of us. Thanks to all of you who have helped us along the way. We love you and appreciate your love and support.
