21 and 48! Tender mercies

So you might ask, What do the numbers 21 and 48 mean to Tony and Traci? Well, I shall tell you. I (tony) just finish the best month in my life selling alarms. There was a lot of sweat and tears this month. I woke up this morning sick(i have been for the past 6 days. I have a chest cold) and I knew it was going to be a great day but wasn't sure what the outcome would be. I ran 2 appointments in the morning and sold them both. On my way back to the office I get a phone call from my boss saying he had some news that could potentially be great. When I arrived he told me that one of my big accounts which happens to be an apartment complex, If they signed and agreed on going with us we could save them even more money in the install. So I made a couple of phone calls and what do you know BAM!!! they agreed to install 21 units. That is huge. to sell 21 units in a months is awesome but to sell 21 units in a day, wow. I have never seen it before. Anyway, So for today being the last day of the month I finished with 48 units sold! That is by far my best month ever and it beats my other best by 20(i would of tied this month with my best had I not sold the 21, Side note I had a cancel today too so that's why its 48 and not 49)

I am not posting this to brag by any means. I am so grateful. The reason why I am posting this is because we have had some family praying for us that I would get this job. I wanted to let them know that prayer does work and it adds blessings to our lives that we probably would not of received other wise. THANKS EVERYONE. <3 anyway I hope everyone is doing well. We think about all of you all the time.

Time for a Change

I don't know why, but I get bored with my hair a lot. Perhaps its just because I haven't found the right style, or I just like change. I do really need it cut though. I found a picture of a couple styles that I like, but I would like an opinion on whether either would look good on me. Let me know what you think.This one??

Obviously my hair isn't as long, but the concept is more of what I am looking for. I was also thinking of redying my hair because the bottom is starting to fade so I wanted to do a little darker or just do a touch-up and put low-lights in.

Pinecrest

This weekend Tony and I went camping with his family at Pinecrest. It was the first time I have ever been there and we had a pretty good time. Saturday we went on a party boat around the lake. We had 3 dogs, 6 adults, and 4.5 kids (the .5 being the one in my belly) on there and it was fun. We visited and fished and we thought we caught a fish, but some guy just ran over our line. We almost lost the whole pole, but a guy in a kyak saved the day. Sunday was filled with little mishaps. We had a great start with breakfast. Then we decided to get some icecream after lunch and thats when it seemed to go wrong. Poor Grant tripped and hit his face on a concrete slab and it left a pretty nasty mark. On top of that everyone but me and mom went fishing down the way and they came back empty handed and the top of dad's fly rod had broken. Other than that we had a great time. Question....

How do you know if you are getting a good value on a travel system stroller? What is the minimum features that one should look for? I have 3 strollers in mind, but I don't know which one to choose. Any advice on picking a good one?

Happy Mothers Day

Yesterday as we all know was Mothers Day. I just wanted to say thank you to my mom for being the best mom ever. She has an awesome sense of humor, is an excellent homemaker (she sews like a professional, every meal always tasted good, and she did her best at cleaning up after all of us messy kids), a great person to talk to, she went the extra mile when I was sick to make me feel better, and she just generally cared to have us around. I know that there were a few things that she probably missed out on, but I hope that she knows that it meant the world to me to have such a great woman to take care of me.

On a different note. Yesterday was the first time that I actually felt like a mom. I know I still have a few months before that becomes technically official, but he's inhabiting my belly and makes himself comfortable by any means necessary. Even if it means kicking my bladder and ribs to make more room for his growing body. I am so excited for our little guy to be born. We haven't picked a name yet, but we have talked about it and we think that even if we do decide on a name we will keep it secret until he is actually born. Anyway, I hope all you ladies had a wonderful mothers day.

Well I must be truthful...Today sucked!!! Wow I cant believe how quickly things can turn around. I'm trying to be positive and follow my own advise from the last post but wow its hard. Today I had not 1 not 2 but 3 customers call me up and wanted to cancel there installs. I have never had that many call me up and cancel. They weren't for the normal reasons that people cancel for. One guy I had forgotten to give him his copy of the contract so I just stopped by to give them the copy and he got all up set told me that I had disturbed him and woke him up (it was 5:30PM). Then he said I was trying to scam him. The other guy said he was offered $600 to Costco if he went through another company. B.S.!!! that's all I can say. The last guys said that right before my technician came his old company showed up to his house to fix his alarm(he had been trying to get the other company out for like a month to fix it.) So that's about $700 bucks that I just lost in a matter of 7 or so hours. And to top it off my 6:30 appointment called me up right at 6:30 to tell me that she had to cancel her appointment for me to set her up. Yes 3 installs and one appointment. WOW! o well that's just part of life. Some days you win some and some you lose. I'm sure Ill make it up.

You might of had a great day today, or you might of had a worse day than me. Either way tomorrow is another day and another chance to enjoy life.

A New Month!!! NO MORE APRIL!!!

So I don't know if I am the only one out there but I am glad May is here. Not only is it the month where we celebrate mothers and my the birthday of my older but Lil sister (Happy Birthday Hilary on May 9Th) BUT ITS NOT APRIL ANYMORE! I had a horrible month in April. Already in this month I have surpassed what I did in the whole month of April. I know there isn't really a difference in the months but its always nice to start over with a clean slate and forget about the past. The future always holds a promising time but we most live in the now. Focusing on the failures of the past will only distract you from success in the now or future. Sometimes in life it rains on us, but with rain comes flowers. So let it rain, get your umbrella and enjoy life!
